HOUSES AND MONUMENTS OF POMPEII

When excavations of Pompeii were first carried out in the 19th century under scientific and archaeological principles, the brothers Fausto and Felice Niccolini joined the great undertaking. The Niccolinis' objective was to illustrate all aspects of life in this ancient city of the Roman Empire.
